At Brain Way Tech, we believe in putting in place systems to help our clients succeed. These systems have been carefully developed over time to ensure we capture all the information we need to have a successful outcome for your project.

STEP 1

Initial Contact

ONBOARDING AND DISCOVERY

Each project begins with our first conversation. This could be through email, text, phone, social media or face-to-face. We love to get to know our clients, their businesses and what challenges they face.

If we seem like a good fit for eachother, we’ll move to Step 2: The Project Discovery Form.

STEP 2

The Project Discovery Form

In order to get a standard baseline with all of our clients, we will provide you with a link to our Project Discovery form. This typically only takes clients 5-10 minutes to complete and gives us a brief “snapshot” of your business, customers, goals, & needs.

Once we review your project discovery form we will either move to Step 3: The Discovery Meeting, or refer you to one of our partner developers who might be a better fit for your needs.

STEP 3

The Discovery Meeting

If we think we’re a good fit for your project, we will provide you a link to book a one-on-one consultation with us so we can discuss your project in more detail. With the project discovery form as our guide, together, we’ll go through the details of your project.

We often have many questions you may have not considered, and this discovery meeting we’ll help us have a deeper understanding of the functionalities and strategy that will need to go into your project.

STEP 4

The Proposal

Armed with all the information from discovery, we will craft a custom proposal for your project. This will be delivered to you electronically and contain an overview of the system we recommend for you, as well as the investment required to accomplish your goals.

Your electronic signature and 50% deposit is all we will need to get your project underway.

STEP 5

Sitemap & Architecture

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

The first step to get your project moving forward in the development phase is to develop a sitemap so that we can develop a plan for all the necessary pages, content and functionalities that will be required to complete your project. 

We will provide you with a copy of the sitemap and work with you to evaluate and revise it until it is fully agreed upon.

 

STEP 6

Gathering Your Assets

Moving forward in the development phase is for you to provide us with all the assets you have that need to be included in your project. This includes:
  • Sitemap or List of Pages
  • Copy (what you want your website to say)
  • Images
  • Access to any related accounts (social media, hosting, domain registrar, etc.)

Don’t worry, you don’t have to do this on your own, we will work with you through this process to ensure everything is in place to get started.

STEP 7

Presentation of Initial Design

After we have everything ready to begin, we will first present you with our initial design, or concept, of your project. In most cases this is the Homepage layout. We find the homepage often encompasses most of the elements that will be used throughout your website.
 
At this stage we’ll work together to tweak and adjust  until you give us the approval to move forward to develop the rest of the pages using the approved design concept.

STEP 8

Full Website Development

Using the approved design we will begin to develop the rest of your website using all the information we gathered during discovery and from your assets.
 
We often have questions, or solicit feedback from you during this phase. You’ll have the opportunity to provide your thoughts and make adjustments as we go along. This is typically the most time-consuming step, as we are building out the majority of your website.

 

STEP 9

Revisions

Once your website is fully built out, we will provide you with a working link to go through each and every page to ensure we have met or exceeded your expectations and to verify all the information is correct.
 
We have found it’s most helpful to provide a full, comprehensive list of changes at one time rather than numerous small revisions. This way we can ensure consistency and cut down on the time it takes to get through your revisions.

 

STEP 10

Approval

Once your website is fully built out, we will provide you with a working link to go through each and every page to ensure we have met or exceeded your expectations and to verify all the information is correct.
 
We have found it’s most helpful to provide a full, comprehensive list of changes at one time rather than numerous small revisions. This way we can ensure consistency and cut down on the time it takes to get through your revisions.

 

STEP 11

Debugging and Publication

Wahoo! We made it! You’re website is now ready to be fully-tested for all functionality and ensure it’s ready to be set live.
 
Once we complete our exhaustive testing procedures we will migrate your website onto your domain. This process usually takes between 2-5 days depending on the complexity of your project and the hosting environment you’ve selected.

 

STEP 12

30 Days of Free Monitoring

AFTERCARE & MANAGEMENT

For the first 30 days after your website is published you will be automatically subscribed to one of our Care Plans. We do this to ensure you have plenty of time to make any final adjustments once your website is being seen by live traffic.

We will be more than happy to make any small adjustments you need and ensure the stability and success of your platform.

 

STEP 13

Choose Your Care Plan

During the 30 day monitoring period you’ll want to consider how you plan on maintaining your website once your free period is complete.

By this time we have most likely already talked to you about your options, but we cannot stress enough how important it is to make certain that your website is being cared for. Just like any software, your website needs to be updated for functionality and security.

We offer a variety of Care Plans to choose from, or we can customize a plan to suit your needs. A care plan is not mandatory, but if you want to get the most out of your website it is strongly suggested you have someone with in-depth knowledge of WebMastering to look after your website.
